If there’s one voice guaranteed to bring noise, nonsense, and non-stop fun to the Lincolnshire coast, it’s Tricky Ricky. A true Coastal Dream legend, Ricky is the man behind not one, not two, actually it’s four weekly shows packed with personality: Monday Mayhem, Tricky Ricky’s Quickie on Tuesdays and The Big Drive Home on Fridays.
Born in the south and proudly calling himself a “lazy Cockney” (despite being one of the busiest people on the station), Ricky brings an unmistakable East End charm to the coast — and listeners can’t get enough. His shows are a whirlwind of cheeky banter, big tunes, and unpredictable antics, where the laughs come just as fast as the records spin.
Each show is filled with Ricky’s signature features that keep listeners coming back for more. There’s Martin’s Number 2s - a nod to those chart classics that almost made it, but just missed the top spot. Ricky gives them the glory they deserve, with a healthy dose of banter from his mate Martin along the way. Then there’s The Sound Engineer’s Bit (Back in Time), a weekly trip through music history brought to you (sometimes reluctantly) by the his ever-patient sound engineer. She might roll her eyes at Ricky’s on-air antics — but between us, she loves him really.
What makes Ricky stand out isn’t just the music. it’s his ability to connect. Whether he’s throwing out daft challenges, doing live shout-outs, or just riffing off the chaos of the day, his shows feel like a big, loud, and loving community party. He’s a familiar face at local events, a big supporter of charities, and a true champion of everything fun and positive about life on the Lincolnshire coast.

Shaun Whitty’s a former DJ and karaoke host from Doncaster who had to switch gears after health issues made him hang up that mic until Now! he’s back with a bang and all about giving back to the community through Coastal Dream Radio. Catch Shaun’s “Whitty Wednesday” vibes from 12-3 PM, then rewind with the “Back in Time Show” on Sundays 3-5 PM and Thursdays 2-4 PM.
Between 1998 and 2014, Shaun was deep in the theatre game with the Phoenix Theatre Company in Doncaster, rocking lead roles in musicals like Annie, Wizard of Oz, and Guys and Dolls at The Cast. His life heroes? Classic legends like Sir Norman Wisdom, Laurel & Hardy, Jerry Lewis, and Abbott & Costello — basically the OGs of comedy who still crack him up. But the real MVP? His late dad, Victor Ephrim Whitaker, who schooled him and his sisters in respect and old-school values, like the simple power of opening a door for someone.

Cath is the warm, welcoming voice of Tuesday afternoons on Radio Mablethorpe. With her gentle humour, thoughtful conversation, and eclectic music taste, she creates a show that feels like a deep breath in the middle of the week.
Hailing from a musical family, Cath’s lifelong passion for music was sparked early — surrounded by everything from classical symphonies to modern chart favourites. That upbringing instilled in her a deep appreciation for melody, mood, and the power of a good tune to tell a story. Many years ago, she even played in a local brass band, an experience she still reflects on fondly as part of her musical roots.
Her show often weaves together those influences, blending familiar favourites with hidden gems that span genres and decades. One of the standout features of Cath’s Corner is her much-loved Time Travel Tracks segment, where she takes listeners on a musical journey around the world — exploring a new country or culture each week through its soundscape and stories.
Cath’s calm and friendly presence, combined with her deep musical knowledge and natural storytelling, makes her show a treasured part of the coastal dream schedule. Minister Pablo St David is a compassionate Welsh minister known for his hands-on support of the poor and his tireless volunteering across Lincolnshire. He’s earned the Make a Difference Award for his dedication to helping others, always leading by example. Outside of his ministry work, Pablo is a huge dog lover and has an undeniable sweet tooth in which cake is his absolute favourite. His kindness and commitment make him a true pillar of the community, inspiring everyone around him to do better and care more.

Laura Lou rocks the Morning Mixtape every Sunday and Wednesday from 11-12, Lauras bright cheerful soul brings the smooth local Lincolnshire villager tones to the airwaves whilst juggling kids, friends, and basically everyone else like a pro. She’s got a wild love for all things weird and wonderful, plus a seriously impressive knowledge stash. And let’s be real, her biggest passion might just be men if you want a show that’s equal parts chaos, charm, and good vibes, Laura Lou’s mixtape is your go-to.

Alan Parks and Lorna Penfold are originally from the south coast in Brighton.
Alan built his career in retail management, while Lorna spent many years as a dedicated dance teacher, inspiring and training students of all ages. After Lorna experienced some health problems, they made the decision to embrace a complete lifestyle change and relocated to the heart of Andalucía, Spain.
For 15 years they lived in a beautifully renovated old olive mill, completely off-grid apart from a back-up generator. Their Spanish adventure was filled with character and hard work — sharing their home with alpacas, dogs, barn cats, and chickens. It was a bold and rewarding chapter of their lives, one they describe as a truly fabulous adventure.
However, after COVID, having not seen their families for two years, Alan and Lorna felt it was time to return to the UK and be closer to loved ones. While searching online, they discovered a little house in Mablethorpe and that decision marked the beginning of a new chapter.
Despite many people attempting to discourage them from taking over what is now PlayMablethorpe, they trusted their instincts. They felt that whatever challenges lay ahead, at least they would be back in familiar surroundings and speaking the same language.
Today, alongside their business venture, they are also part of the Coastal Dream Radio team, bringing their warmth, life experience, and personality to listeners across the Lincolnshire coast and beyond continuing their journey of connection, community, and creativity.

From leaving school in the early 90’s John or “Big J” as he’s known went on to form and be in the successful boyband called ‘The Limit’ touring the country and performing in hundreds of venues around the UK. Being a massive collector of 90’s music and knowing many of the celebs of the time he went on to write and create “The Big J 90’s Show” giving an unparalleled level of knowledge and experience that he shares with you combing his love for the era. Now he’s still performing around the UK on corporate events and 90’s nights as a DJ and still loving the music of the time.

Seany B grew up in the heart of Yorkshire and discovered a love for rock music while in high school when a friend introduced him to Nirvana and Deep Purple. While his high school band covered many of these songs, he knew he wanted to rock.
Having always listened to mainstream and local radio in his bedroom, his influence into classic rock stems from his mum’s love of Black Sabbath, Meatloaf, and Fleetwood Mac, just to name a few.
After buying his house in May 2025, he was influenced by a good friend, DJ Chris Garton, to join him on his station.
In June 2025, he invested time and studied the workings of broadcasting and got thrown into the deep end head first.
Since then, he has joined Coastal Dream, giving listeners a rocking experience every Sunday.
He hopes to eventually bring a live experience in due course and encourages everyone to keep rocking and keep listening and he looks forward to hearing from fans on his socials.

which ran for 5 years but work commitments dictated otherwise & now I am back playing music to the masses on this station.

Tim Bee cut his DJ teeth working in Manchester nightclubs in the late 90s. Playing sold out
nights and bringing a brand of Melodic Trance that erupted in ’98 when he first visited Ibiza!
He progressed to playing massive student nights alongside many A-list DJs inc. Judge Jules,
Dave Pearce, Kryder, Eddie Halliwell, Stu Allan and many more!
As his reputation grew, he was invited to appear at the big club nights, the pinnacle of which
being the Hacienda, along with Sankeys Soap, Cream Liverpool, Manchester Academy, The
Ritz, Joshua Brooks, Dry Bar, Glass, Leeds Love parade and more.
In early 2000 he was invited to cover one Saturday night at Mega Club Lucid in the
Printworks but that lead to a residency for three years playing regularly to 1000+ ravers.
Coupled with playing weekly Friday nights and more at K2 club in MMU SU, Tim Bee was a
well-known face on the Manchester club scene!
In 2003 he had a hiatus for some years but in 2020 when UK Lockdown ＃1 struck, he
realised he could broadcast his sets over the internet from his home studio
to the ever increasing number of online Radio stations.
Since then, he has been a regular fixture on stations including Utter
Sounds Radio, Circl8 Radio, Essential Clubbers Radio, Groove London Radio,
Sublimesoundz, Toohot Radio and now he manages Trax Radio UK who he joined
some years ago as a DJ.
Live events have followed, and Tim is a regular in the Stoke on Trent area
including at The Jug in Newcastle, The Basement in Hanley and most
recently, brand new uber cool venue The Backyard alongside Awesome 3’s
Taitsy. In September 2024, Tim played for Trax at Entropy at Jolly’s in
Stoke, an iconic brand for all things Old Skool!!
In 2025, Tim continued to play out for Trax, and was invited to play at the
huge Dundee Dance Event in May. He also returned to San Antonio in Ibiza
for the first time in some 20 years, playing the club room at Rio for Red
Jules’Old Skool night and also an early evening set at the classy Bay Bar
as the sun was setting.
2026 is looking promising with more opportunities for this OG spin-smith to
continue his musical journey.
Expect melodic and tech house music along with huge piano anthems and a big
nod to the Old Skool.

David Clark
David Clark is your go-to guy on Coastal Dream Radio for all things music and pop culture from movies, TV, and video games. Starting out volunteering at Hospital Radio back in the ’90s, David stepped in to help a mate who was off sick, which sparked his passion for radio. That led to writing for an internet show before launching his own Pop Quiz Hot Shot Showcase.
A proud part of the Lincolnshire coast community, David also dives into paranormal investigations with Ghost Hunt Events Limited and has been featured on podcasts like Not for Radio and Darkness Radio, plus the TV show Holzer Files Redacted. When he’s not on air, you’ll find him smashing it at Pickleball around Essex.

Malcolm is the DJ to listen to if soul, funk and jazz is your thing.
Malcolm retired to Lincolnshire a few years ago and has a long history of DJing in Northern Soul venues and clubs in Birmingham and Spain.
He is not into “chatter” the way some DJs are, he likes to let the music speak for itself, so you will get the announcement of who it is singing and not much more – this leaves more space for the choons.
So come and have a listen every Friday afternoon.
